These workshops are a fun and educational child-care option for your family on the weekend.

STOP MOTION ART WORKSHOP
Bringing stories to life
Come and join us in our lovely bright daycare space where children (aged 5 -8) will learn about the creative process behind stop motion. Through this 8-week mixed media workshop series, children will explore their own ideas as well as work towards a collaborative project in a supportive and engaging environment, led by an experienced artist/ educator. They will enjoy creating in a range of mediums including; drawing, painting, clay, sculpture & photography.
Starting with their own stories & ideas in drawn and written form, children will develop them into a small 3D set, using mixed materials. Once the set is complete, they will have the chance to help capture images with a camera, and finally witness it all coming to life as a short animation!
Each week, the workshops will be led by Rebecca or Anastasia, both educators with an art background. Stories, song and movement activities will be woven into the class when relevant.
Workshops will run in our home-based, licensed multi-age space, which is perfectly designed to create, play and have fun!
Cost: $200 incl. materials ($25 session)
Dates: Jan 13, 20, 27, Feb 3, 10, 24, Mar 2 & Mar 9, 2024. (No class Feb 17th; holiday weekend).

STAY & PLAY
Optional add on session
Would your child enjoy some extra outside time, playing with new friends and burning off some energy? Do YOU need more time to run some errands, grab a coffee or brunch?
We are offering an add-on option, for your child to stay for an additional 1hr after the morning workshop or prior to the afternoon workshop.
Led by an experienced educator, they will have lunch (you provide) and time to play in our wonderful licensed play space which includes a playhouse, sandbox, art station, climbing area, water table, sensory table & more!
We have a large shelter to ensure the fresh air can be enjoyed together, in all weather.
Cost: $120 ($15 session)
Dates: Jan 13, 20, 27, Feb 3, 10, 24, Mar 2 & Mar 9, 2024. (No class Feb 17th; holiday weekend).
